Teapot Depot is a charming tearoom nestled just one turn off the main road in Highlands, Texas. We serve lunch and tea, and our gift shop holds many treasures for you to discover! Walk-ins, call-ahead ordering, carry-out, and delivery requests are all welcome here. We also offer event services such as bridal, graduation, game nights, and many more.
We first opened our doors in 1992 as the realized dream of Teapot Depot's establisher, Wanda Asbeck. Wanda had created a delightful and endearing tearoom atmosphere by renovating a 1950s house with much care and attention to detail, and that house became the tearoom that still has its doors open today.
In 1996, Debbie Langham joined Teapot Depot, becoming its manager, and in 2002 Wanda passed on ownership of the tearoom to Debbie. Over the years, the tearoom has seen many wonderful customers and has undergone many improvements, and Debbie continued to uphold that integrity of charm and delight that Teapot Depot is known for. At the end of 2018, Debbie retired after 16 years of operating Teapot Depot.
Missy Norton began 2019 as the new owner & operator of Teapot Depot. She brings with her Charlotte Duzant as her manager. Missy loves Teapot Depot and has been a long-time patron, and she is so happy to be the new owner. She looks forward to getting to know our great customers and serving them great food!
